As a New Community, we seek to serve others, and to Bring Good News in Word and Deed.

"Bringing Good News in word and deed"
If knowing God is the most important pursuit in life, then making Him known is a believer's greatest mission. We believe the task of extending the Kingdom of God is not just for ordained ministers, missionaries or "super-saints." We strive to foster opportunities where believers actively present the Living Christ to unchurched people, Bringing Good News into their families, workplaces, neighborhoods, social networks and throughout the world.

Deep within the 58-year history and DNA of Redwood Chapel is our passion to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to unreached people groups around the world. For more than 40 years, our missions motto has been "Rooted in the Word, Reaching to the World".

Throughout the year, the Redwood family hosts or participates in special events with a desire to build bridges to people who may not know Jesus Christ personally. Through practical expressions of love, kindness, and interest in the lives of others, we hope to express God's love and introduce everyone to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Scores of Redwood attenders volunteer to serve in vital assignments in partnership with our Bay Area mission partners such as World Impact, CityTeam, Pregnancy Choices Clinic, Follow Up Prison Ministries, Child Evangelism Fellowship, International Students, Inc., She is Safe, and Innocent Voices.

We have more than 25 career missionaries that we pray for and financially support, often sending short-term teams of Redwood members to assist them with key projects.

To learn how you can be involved in "going or sending", missionary prayer, and to pick up the latest news and prayer requests from each of our missionary community, stop by the "World Map" on the wall in the Worship Center lobby.

Our Missions Policy, as well as applications for Career or Short-term Missions involvement are available by contacting our Missions Department in the church office.

Redwood has Adopted an Unreached People Group!

We are committed long-term to partner with others to help establish an indigenous and multiplying gospel movement among the Japanese of Japan, one of the largest "least reached" people groups in the world (less than 2% profess to follow Christ). If you have ministry interest to help us establish a church planting movement among the Japanese, or to assist in Bay Area outreach or home-stay to the Japanese, please contact our Adoption Task Force .
